It is with pride i can say Rokelle Lerner and I have been friends and colleagues since the later 1970's. Her work with young children from addicted homes was pioneering then and she has continued to be a strong leader in the
field of addiction and behavioral health care. She has given voice to the unspoken: she has lessened the shame of thousands; she has shaped our understanding of trauma, attachment, relationships and addictive disorders.
Whether or not it is in her speaking, writings or hands on workshops she does this in what is uniquely her dynamic style of speaking to the heart and soul of
each of us.

Rokelle Lerner is one of the pioneers in bringing issues of growing up with addiction to the forefront of the field.
Her work with children and later adult children of addiction/trauma and her deep understanding of the attachment related issues they grapple with,
have helped countless people to find their way, as she so often said, from feeling like victims to victors. She is an inspiring and sincere person who
has brightened this field for decades and made it a better place to be.

It was my privilege to share history with Rokelle Lerner in establishing pioneering programs and writings for young children of alcoholic families and painful homes.
Later with her little red meditation book “Daily Affirmations” , she reached the hearts and souls of adult children. Rokelle continues to be on the innovative edge of what is needed in healing trauma for individuals and families. She continues her leadership role for individuals and families.
